1. 読む順番と段落の読み方

大問1→2→3と進め、空所補充10分・内容一致18分を使う練習をします。空所は1文の意味に加え、段落が主張している内容までつなげましょう。Eメールは相手に求める行動と条件、説明文は取り組みの理由と結果を整理します。内容一致で設問を先に読むときは、何についての理由・結果かまで確かめます。長い1文は主語と動詞を先につかみ、関係代名詞や分詞で足された説明を順に読みます。

Recording Small Sounds
A local history group usually collected photographs of old buildings. Recently, its members began recording ordinary sounds as well, including the bell at the market and footsteps on a wooden bridge. They thought these sounds could show how people used familiar places. The group planned to create an online collection with short descriptions of when and where each recording was made.
The first recordings raised a problem. Some were clear, but others contained conversations between people who had not agreed to be recorded.
